Admission To Reguler Program

Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) welcomes prospective students to apply for the International Program, available for both Undergraduate (S1) and Graduate (S2) levels.

 

1. Admission Requirements

A. General Requirements

  1. Graduates of Senior High School (SMA/SMK/MA) or equivalent who have passed the equivalency exam (Paket C) for Bachelor’s (S1) applicants. Graduates of a Bachelor’s (S1) program for Master’s (S2) applicants. Graduates of a Master’s (S2) program for Doctoral (S3) applicants.
  2. Graduates from 2022 and 2023 must possess and submit their diplomas.
  3. Graduates from 2024 must provide a Graduation Certificate (Surat Keterangan Lulus) that includes personal identification details and a recent photograph, officially sealed and stamped.
  4. Applicants must have at least one non-academic achievement during their high school years (SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent) in fields specified in section A.2. These achievements must be at the International, National, or Provincial level and must be proven with certificates and/or medals.
  5. Applicants must have academic or non-academic achievements, supported by a certificate of achievement or a report card with an average score of at least 7.5, 75, or B.
  6. Upload proof of achievements (maximum of 3 documents).
  7. Demonstrate English proficiency with one of the following certifications:
    • IELTS: minimum 6.0
    • TOEFL iBT: minimum 80
    • TOEIC: minimum 693
    • TOEFL CBT: minimum 213
    • TOEFL PBT: minimum 500 or 550
    • Duolingo: minimum 100
    • English subject score in the report card: minimum 8 or equivalent to B
  8. All required documents must be translated into English.
  9. International students (non-Indonesian citizens) are eligible to apply for International Class programs (taught in English) or Regular Class programs (taught in Indonesian).

 

2. Application Fee

The application fee is IDR 450,000 (2025).

 

3. Application Procedure

a) Application Schedule

  • Enrolment Period: May 1, 2025 – July 1, 2025
  • Document Selection: July 2 – July 3, 2025
  • Announcement of Administrative Selection: July 4, 2025
  • Interview Selection: July 7 – July 8, 2025
  • Judicium (Final Evaluation): July 9, 2025
  • Announcement of Selection Results: July 9, 2025, at 15:00 WIB
  • Registration: July 9 / July 11, 2025
    (Applicants must submit proof of tuition payment, passport, bank statement, and diploma)
  • Commencement of Classes: August 18, 2025


b) Online Registration Procedure

  • Visit [official university website]
  • Select the International Program Admission menu
  • Complete the application form with accurate personal details
  • Upload the required documents (translated into English)


c) Application Fee Payment

  • Make the payment through the university’s designated bank account as listed in the registration system.
  • Save the payment receipt and upload it to the registration system.


d) Required Documents for Upload

  • Proof of application fee payment
  • Passport (valid for at least one year)
  • Recent colored passport-sized photograph with a white background
  • For Bachelor’s (S1) applicants: Report card for semesters 1 to 5 with an average score of at least 7.5, 75, or B
  • For Master’s (S2) applicants: Bachelor’s (S1) transcript, 2 (two) recommendation letters from previous supervisors, brief research proposal
  • For Doctoral (S3) applicants: Master’s (S2) transcript, 2 (two) recommendation letters from previous supervisors, brief research proposal.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • National ID Card (Passport or equivalent)
  • English proficiency certificate
  • Scholarship/sponsorship documents (if applicable)


e) Selection and Interview

  • Interview selection details will be sent via email and posted on the website.
  • Applicants will be scheduled for an interview conducted in English.


f) Announcement and Re-Registration

  • Accepted applicants must complete re-registration and tuition payments according to the university’s regulations.
